Dr. Soheila Karimi’s lab discovers potential early disease marker and treatment for MS.

Dr. Soheila Karimi and her research team led by Dr. Hardeep Kataria have published a new study in the prestigious journal Brain that has discovered a novel role for Neuregulin-1 beta 1 in pathogenesis of multiple sclerosis and a potential target as an early disease marker and treatment for MS. This work also attracted extensive media attention and is featured by CTV news, Winnipeg Free Press and MS Society of Canada.
