Research Objectives

The SCRC's integrated research and training strategy comprises three overlapping thrusts: (1) Mechanistic Research, (2) Translational Research and (3) Neuroprotection, Repair, Regeneration & Cell Based Therapies.

Seminar Series

The SCRC hosts or participates in several seminar series,
as well as two neuroscience-related journal clubs.
These all provide great training opportunities.

Dr. Jeremy Chopek has signed his acceptance letter and is expected to join the Department of Physiology & Pathophysiology on September 1, 2018. Dr. Chopek is the latest recruit to the Division of Neuroscience and Spinal Cord Injury.

SCRC 5-year review 2014-2019 approved by Senate Committee on University Research.

SCRC 5 Year Review 2014-2019 - outlining the significant advances and productivity in our research and accomplishments by our investigators and trainees over the past 5 years. Approved by Senate Committee on University Research on November 6th , 2019.

The Centre is renewed for a term of five years, from January 1, 2020 through December 31, 2024
